The #LexusCT200h will not be returning to the US market in 2018.
After seven years, and a sharp drop-off in sales, it looks like it’s the end of the line for the entry-level Lexus CT 200h hybrid. The report comes from Car and Driver , which said that Lexus said the hybrid hatchback won’t be returning to the U.S. market for 2018. SEE ALSO: 2015 Lexus CT 200h Review – Video The CT was introduced in 2011 and shares a drivetrain with the third-generation Prius. While the Prius was completely updated in 2016, the CT200h was not. It continued with that car’s 98 horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder and 80 horsepower electric motor. The 42 miles per gallon EPA combined number that the CT achieved was impressive in 2011, but looked less impressive once the newest Prius and its 52 mpg combined was introduced.
