VCU/Virginia Commonwealth University shuttles running on propane autogas

‘RamSafe’ Fleet Vehicles Converted with Partners Including Alliance AutoGas Virginia Commonwealth University’s Parking and Transportation unit has converted 70% percent of its RamSafe fleet – seven Ford-chassis shuttles – to operate on propane autogas via a partnership with the Virginia Department of General Services, Alliance AutoGas, Virginia Clean Cities and the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy. Working with Alliance AutoGas, Virginia Commonwealth University has converted seven 2013 and 2014 Ford-chassis shuttle buses to propane autogas-gasoline bi-fuel operation. Propane autogas is projected to save the division more than $20,000 in annual fuel costs, states a VCU release.
