Why Is The Toyota Mirai Pacing A NASCAR Race?

NASCAR is the ultimate American motorsport, if we’re going purely by viewership, and automakers are always vying to put their latest and greatest product in front of potential customers. Doting up a family sedan with lights and stickers to serve as a pace car for a NASCAR race is nothing new, but putting the Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell car in front of millions of NASCAR fans might not be the best marketing stunt, at least right now.
