Is the Townpod the next Nissan EV?

The decision on what goes forward for Nissan may not be that simple. Competing with your own Leaf is not a good idea. Large is not a good idea either (due to the amount of battery required for say pure EV transport truck). Really small is difficult as to getting the price right, as Americans will not spend a large amount for a small car (although the bloated for US i might prove me wrong). The sports car might win, not because of model specific volume, but because it sells more battery, more controllers, more electric AC and Heating, more everything that can be also used in a Leaf, and it might draw in people that will leave with a Leaf (or a Versa or a Z). I would also point out that there would be no competition in the US for a while for such an EV except in the Tesla used car lot.
