Fifteen years ago, German car giant Daimler introduced its diminutive new brand; smart. Designed for the modern motorist needing a small, nippy, economic and easy to park urban transport solution, the brand has since gone on to become something of a modern icon. With a whole army of loyal fans, the brand now holds a global gathering of smart cars with owners from all over the world attending. Last week saw the smart times 2013 two day event take place in Lucerne, Switzerland (August 23 to 25th, 2013), with more than 1,700 smart lovers in attendance from 24 countries. This year was something extra special for the brand, celebrating three milestones all at once; 15 years of the smart brand, 10 years of the smart roadster and 1.5 millionth smart fortwo off the production line.
