Check your calendars – it’s April 29, 2013. That means we’re officially less than two months away from new rules being implemented for the London Congestion Charge. As of June 28, 2013, the only vehicles that will qualify to be completely exempt from the charge will be those emitting 75g/km of CO2 or less. However, there is one catch. Anyone who owns a vehicle that currently qualifies to drive in the city centre for free by emitting 100g/km of CO2 or less, will still benefit from a three-year transition period which will run until June, 2016. As an added bonus, if you register a vehicle with emissions of 100g/km or less between now and the June 28 deadline then you will also benefit from the three-year transition period. As such, you could say the race is on to buy a qualifying vehicle – with Toyota publishing a list of the models that qualify under its Toyota and Lexus um...
