Report: General Motors looking to launch 2nd-gen EN-V by 2020
This obviously will not go over big in USA. However, any city that has rickshaws or pedicabs, this will fit right in. A lot of US cities have tourist areas where you see pedicabs, and maybe the city can have a loaner program for those limited areas. But for that to work, they have to be stupidly simple to operate. The first EN-V had a peculiar way to launch, to get it up from resting position to rolling position, you had to time it just right. The other thing about Segways: how much additional energy does it take to make it self balancing? If you simply added a 3rd wheel, how much farther would that same battery go?
