@senatedemocrats @housedemocrats Invite your senator to the U.S. Senate Ride and Drive
My wife and I have been driving a 2018 Bolt for about five weeks now, and I have two comments. First, although the official range is 238 miles, we find that we are getting something closer to 265 miles due to careful driving. The second comment is that the level 2 charger provided to us by our electric company (Green Mountain Power) is recharging at slightly more than 30 miles per hour, and the software of FLO provides us with immediate and accurate information concerning the charge. We have found that it would cost us about 3.5 cents per mile for fuel (kWh’s), compared to about 10.5 cents per mile for gas at today’s prices if driving a new Subaru Outback. Actually, it costs us zero to recharge from our house, because we have enough solar generation so that with net metering, our driving fuel cost is zero.
