Oregon Has a Chance to Shut Down Wildlife Trafficking On the Entire West Coast

One step closer to passing a law to protect some of the world’s most endangered species from wildlife trafficking -- how about ALL of wildlife trafficking?. Did I not just read somewhere else among Care2 articles that the USA is one of the MAIN CULPRITS involved in this for-profit? The ballot vote, IF PASSED, would ban the “purchase, sale, offer for sale, or possession with intention to sell, any part or product of the covered animal species -- WITH REASONABLE, NARROW EXEMPTIONS (what the hell does that mean?) -- (and who would oversee enforcement of this protection?) A coalition of animal advocacy and conservation organizations backing the initiative continue to point out the need to act quickly to protect wildlife ... (like before they all die?)
