Changing Artic Tundra Could Radically Alter Shorebird Breeding Grounds

Change in climatically suitable breeding conditions for 24 Arctic breeding shorebird species between now and 2070, summarized for each of the world's eight major flyways, for (a) moderate greenhouse gas reductions and (b) minor reductions. Red indicates a decrease in breeding conditions, with dark red indicating almost total loss (>95%). Green indicates an increase in suitable conditions, with dark green indicating species that are new to the flyway.
