Yes, the information must be available to the student, however it is always better to wait until the student wants to learn, rather than putting things on a timetable. Too many people believe that children are resistant to learning, when they are actually (thank God) resistant to being told what to do and when to do it. Teacher centered learning creates mindless drones -- they make great employees who don't question the orders they must follow. Student centered learning creates self-directed leaders. Send your kids to public school, because my kids will need some unquestioning employees who will work for them and follow their orders without thinking. Or, actually my kids probably won't hire them at all, preferring to utilize people who are more capable of critical and creative thinking. Your kids can park the cars. Maybe.
