26-year-old author Brianna Karp's story is becoming all too familiar in our failing economy. One day she was an executive assisant with a $50K annual salary, a home, a dog, stability. The next, she was unemployed, broke, living in a borrowed camper without electricity or running water in a Walmart parking lot, scrambling to find work and meet her own basic needs. Karp chronicles her experiences and offers compassionate adivce to other homeless young adults in her new book, The Girls' Guide To Homelessness . Karp hopes her story will serve as a resource and encouragement to other young people finding themselves in the same scary situation.
