Mind-blowing structure design with #reused materials in mind:

Entered by designers Clark Nexsen and Anna Schafer of Raleigh, NC, the re:PORCH reimagines the concept of the standard front porch by transforming it into a hybrid public-private space. The structure features sliding benches made from reclaimed hardwood flooring, a carpet tile swing, suspended planters made from reclaimed sinks and galvanized pipe, and an operable shutter screen. Intended to revive the front porch of days gone by, the design invites family, neighbors and the community at-large to gather, mingle and enjoy the space. But reused materials aren't the only thing that sets the re:PORCH apart. The structure can be detached from a home, transported elsewhere and used as a public gathering space at events and outdoor destinations. It can even float on water as a temporary boat house!
