Seven ways to live in a small space with kids and not go crazy

Great post. It always saddens me when people still take it at face value that people move to the suburbs when they want to have kids. "Well, they need more space!" So ridiculous, when they have all the space they could want right at their doorstep in the city. It's really just extending the same values that keep adults in the city to kids. You sacrifice some personal space (a smaller house or even a condo or apartment) in exchange for greater public spaces: parks, yes, but also retail, coffee shops, restaurants, parks, museums. City kids are exposed to more cultural events and a wider variety of people. They have greater opportunities to learn wayfinding and navigating systems like public transit.
