Wyoming Wolves Attack Far Fewer Cattle Than Ranchers Claim

Back in the 1980's, ranchers were reporting sheep losses they attributed to predators, when in fact, the sheep wandered off and got lost. It surprises me little that their claims of wolf predation are inflated, now. Yellowstone bison are being treated just as bad by Montana, because ranchers claim they spread brucellosis, which has yet to be proven. Montana hazes female bison with newborn calves off of national forest land adjacient to Yellowstone for miles because ranchers demand to graze their cattle on public lands (because the carrying capacity of their own land won't sustain the herd) at a cost well below that of market value, thus the taxpayers are forced to subsidize the ranchers operation and forced to go along with the ranchers demand of ridding the land of bison, which are a native species.
