Though Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon got top billing in "Water for Elephants," the breakout star is Tai, the elephant who plays Rosie. In the movie, Rosie is abused by her trainer, and Animal Defenders International recently released footage of Tai and other elephants being beaten with bull hooks while under the care of Have Trunk Will Travel -- raising questions about how the elephants were trained before joining the film set. During filming, the American Humane Society was on set to make sure that no animals were harmed, and Witherspoon says that painful training methods were a non issue. "They're very conscious of how the animals were treated," she says on The Huffington Post . "They're just the happiest animals. You can tell."
