The state of Louisiana closes a 12-mile section of the gulf coastline after Hurricane Isaac washes up oil and tar balls in an area that was a hot spot for inundations of oil during the Deepwater Horizon spill of 2010. Testing must be conducted to verify that the oil is from the Macondo well; if it is, BP will have to help finance the cleanup, officials say. Meanwhile, Greenpeace photographs oil washing up in Alabama and Mississippi.
