I will tell you straight up that I am a veterinarian that works for the companies that make animal medicines. I have been in both the Federal Government (FDA and USDA) and industry for over 35 years in food safety and animal health. The staph that was found on meat could have come from any environmental or human source it came in contact with. Staph is ubiquitous in nature, we all carry it and you might be surprised to know that 20% of people carry MRSA in their nose which does not come from meat or farm animals.
