Industry blames policy uncertainty for UK's lagging renewables sector

The government has been urged to provide a transparent and stable energy policy framework, after a global survey revealed the majority of renewable energy executives would have invested more in the UK over the last three years if legislation had been clearer and more consistent. KPMG yesterday published its annual survey of global renewable energy mergers and acquisitions (M&A), based on a poll of 500 senior executives from the renewable energy sector taken between January and March this year.
