Okay, a lot of people still seem to think that expanding offshore drilling would somehow lower gas prices. Not going to happen -- and this collection of eminently useful charts and graphs and accompanying explication at the Atlantic reveals why . Basically, there are a lot of factors that go into determining the price of gas -- and amount of oil we extract domestically isn't even close to being one of the biggest.
