Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day with Conservancy and partners May 14, Carpenter Ranch in Colorado.
Join us in celebrating International Migratory Bird Day on May 14th at the Carpenter Ranch, home to over 140 species of migrating and nesting birds. Activities include bird walks led by birding expert Ted Floyd, as well as presentations on feeding birds and landscaping for birds. Kids can enjoy craft activities, birdhouse decorating, storytelling and origami. Some of the day's highlights are the recycled birdhouse competition and the evening free film "Fly Away Home" in Steamboat, presented by Bud Warner Memorial Library. The day is sponsored locally by The Nature Conservancy, The Yampa Valley Birding Club, Yampatika and the U.S. Forest Service. It is a family friendly day for beginning and expert birders alike.
