Canada Has Voted and It Isn't Pretty: Conservative Majority

Ralferd T, Michael MacDonald and many others are both bang on. Too bad the Conservatives can rule as if they have a majority with less than 40% of the popular vote and with about 60% voter turnout. Time for proportional representation but that will never happen under this gov't because they would lose the most! They scuttled it with fear mongering only a couple of years ago for that very reason. At least the NDP surge showed some Canadians are thinking. Sad times for Canada including the environment, health care, corporations run rampant, decreased personal liberty, religious stupidity inserted into politics, autocratic rule, international entanglements, terrible decline in international respect, kissing the US shiny ass, loss of independence to the declining US empire, wholesale rape of our resources to US corporations, continued corruption, censure of the press, secrecy ...
