On Eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Bachmann Compares Taxes To "Holocaust"

Is paying taxes to fund a social safety net that will keep millions of poor, sick and elderly people alive and healthy comparable to killing millions of people in gas chambers? Congresswoman Michele Bachmann says no, then makes the comparison anyway at a speech given appropriately enough on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day . Via the Concord Monitor : Amid sweeping campaign rhetoric denouncing government entitlement programs and taxes, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann compared "our economic liberty being pulled out from under us" to the Holocaust. Careful to note there is no direct analogy between the two, Bachmann, a potential Republican candidate for president, said current generations will be held accountable if they don't take action now - the same way Americans were after World War II, for not stopping the systemic murder of 6 million Jews and other minorities. ... ...
