Frack-Happy Texas Forced to Face the Reality of Fracking-Related Earthquakes via @ecowatch

The author of this article is just dead wrong – the Railroad Commission of Texas (RCT) has NOT shut down ANY injection wells. RCT merely scheduled hearings for June, nearly 2 months from now, at which they will probably (based upon past experience) find no link between the injection wells and the earthquakes despite the proof cited by SMU and USGS. The smart money bets that those wells will remain in operation. Just a few months ago RCT was denying that it even had the right to shut down existing wells. It claimed that it had the right to permit them, but lacked legal authority to shut them down if they were causing problems unless the operators were specifically violating RCT rules. The piss-poor excuse for a seismologist hired by RCT is a scyophant who continues to deny scientific facts because he was hired to do that very thing. He will never find a problem linked to we...
