the amount of CO2 removed by the trees is not correct. This provides no details on what type nor where they who is assessing the planting location nor accounting for mortality. but more importantly trees take up different amounts over their life time. a tree that actually lives 100 yrs takes up 15 pounds a yr on avg but the rate varies with age. so 100 trees at about 15 yrs old take up 1500 pounds annually at best – not 5 tons . also the issue of leave cover causing heat gain in the temperate zones would say even less is netted. so who invents these numbers? or do the pick them out of the air?
