Nessie B :Homeless people, homeless dogs and cats are both important issues. Choose whichever cause calls out to you. There is much to be done. To rehabilitate, clothe, find employment, psychiatric help, meds, and house a person takes far more $ than buying some kibble. A dog with behavior problems can be transformed easier than a person with a life long history of mental problems. Maybe that is the appeal, I don't know. As caring people with lives, families, jobs there is just so much any one person can do. We eat the elephant one bite at a time. A dollar, a warm sweater,or sandwich to a homeless person on the street, extra pocket change into an animal shelter donation jar, or volunteer to walk a dog, picking up a can and putting it into the recycle bin...it all is good.
