Community Stands With #OWS To Condemn #NYPD Violence via @Care2

Last Saturday, thousands of Occupy Wall Street supporters took to the streets of New York City to remind the country that while winter may have slowed them down, the American Spring will commence as planned. Unfortunately, officers of the New York Police Department were also on hand, eager to remind protesters that their unlawful arrests and denial of Constitutional Rights would also continue unabated. Around 11:30pm, Saturday March 17th, over one hundred NYPD officers stormed into Liberty Square and began to brutally arrest over 90 people peacefully using the park. This resulted in five hospitalizations, several broken bones, and one woman who was denied access to emergency medical care after suffering a seizure.
