After taking heat over gasoline prices, President Obama plans to visit a photovoltaic plant in Nevada and oil fields in New Mexico to underline his “all of the above” energy policy . [USA Today]. From automobile and truck traffic to clanking machinery, manmade noise may have negative effects on plants — in part because it causes birds and other animals to change their behavior, according to a new study.
