Reports: Japan mulls 30 per cent renewables target

The Japanese government is considering a significant increase in its renewable energy targets, according to local media reports. Environment Minister Nobuteru Ishihara was reportedly quoted late last week by the Kyodo news agency as saying that the country should aim to source 30 per cent of its power from renewable sources by 2030.
