Could a shortage of key skills undermine the Green Deal?

Only a third of installers have the basic skills needed to deliver the government's flagship energy efficiency scheme, an industry report warns today. Research published today by the Green Deal Skills Alliance (GDSA) warns of insufficient knowledge among the existing workforce about the different impacts energy efficiency measures could have of various buildings, as well as a low level of awareness of the imminent energy efficiency financing scheme.
