Alabama Denies DNA Test To Potentially Innocent Man On Death Row | Care2 Causes

If the primary interest in assigning the death penalty to a prisoner is justice, why are those who are to carry out justice through our legal system reluctant to be assured that they are killing the guilty? Blind faith in a system already proven to have grave inconsistencies and injustices seems only to be attempting to avoid blame for the innocent person being on death row in the first place. Reason dictates that the system be strongly reviewed and evidence coming to light after a trial be reviewed in the light of day, before any executions are carried out.
