Stinging industry response to that Adam Smith Inst report on renewables:

The government and the wind energy industry have launched a withering attack today on a new report from the right-leaning Adam Smith Institute which argues that the UK's renewable energy plans are "unrealistic", costly, and will have little impact on carbon emissions. The report, entitled Renewable Energy: Vision or Mirage? (PDF), was produced by the Adam Smith Institute and the Scientific Alliance and concludes that the UK will struggle to meet its renewable energy targets.
