Carbon Emissions Jumped in 2010, Report Says

Carbon dioxide emissions rose 5.9 percent last year, the biggest absolute jump on record and the biggest percentage increase since 2003, Justin Gillis reports , citing the findings of an international collaboration of scientists. Coal combustion accounted for more than half of the growth in emissions, their report said.
