Twinkling kinetic installation inspired by fireflies reacts to the movement of visitors

What is better than fireflies in the night? An art installation that resembles them, of course. Studio Toer from the Netherlands a dazzling new installation around a tree for this year's Amsterdam Light Festival. Located within a secluded square at the Hortus Botanicus , 'Social Sparkles' is a hovering cloud of 100 tiny LED lights that wait calmly in the dark until someone pops in. Like fireflies, the kinetic installation twinkles magically above visitors' heads.
