House of Hungarian Music’s circular facade intertwines with existing trees to preserve the landscape: ...

innovative proposal for the House of Hungarian Music in Budapest preserves the existing environment with a flexible and unique circular design that encourages environmentalism with natural air flow and rainwater collection . Set on a lush city park, the circle-shaped cultural complex will restructure the focus of the park, changing the pedestrian flow to encourage exchange between the park’s Ludwig Museum and the new building. In hopes of being a new landmark, the House of Hungarian Music will be lined with a façade of parallel blades that will allow trees to continue to grow between them, while also providing a modern face for the music hall.
