The Sarajevo Bridge in Barcelona will soon receive a major green facelift complete with smog-eating concrete , vegetated green walls, and solar-powered glow-in-the-dark paving and LEDs. Designed by Spanish architecture studio BCQ , the infrastructural upgrade is part of the Barcelona City Council’s plan to transform the bridge into an eye-catching new gateway into the city. The energy self-sufficient bridge will double as an urban plaza with new seating and shade elements.
