The energy management solution provider Smappee, which is based in Kortrijk, Belgium, will be working together with several other manufacturers on the Smart Home platform QIVICON, which was initiated by Deutsche Telekom. The platform combines solutions and services from various companies into an integrated Smart Home concept. Smappee's contribution to the project is an energy management solution. The core of the solution is the Smappee Energy Monitor, which analyses and visualises electricity consumption as it happens. Smappee detects the energy consumption of important appliances in the home and displays it in an app in real time. The user can also enable schedulers or so-called trigger options that automatically switch electronic devices off when the user goes to bed or leaves the house, for example.
