I calculated a $100/mo deferred grid electricity cost over an 84 month battery lifespan (7 years) = $8400; less than what we paid for our 52 kWH battery bank. These are modest figures, and don't even account for the taxes I don't pay on income I don't need to pay my power bill, and I fully expect my battery to last much longer than 84 months with good care.
