Martifer Solar to build 78.4 MW of UK solar PV plants for Lightsource

Martifer Solar (Oliveira de Frades, Portugal) has announced that it is building a portfolio of five solar photovoltaic (PV) plants totaling 78.4 MW in England for Lightsource Renewable Energy (London). Martifer has sold one of the plants, and has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Lightsource build the other four. Martifer will also supply operations and maintenance (O&M) services for all five, which are located in Cambridgeshire, Devon, Nottingham and Swindon. “With the largest development pipeline in the UK, we have to ensure we build on relationships with our trusted EPCs like Martifer Solar who already have significant experience developing and constructing solar farms in the UK,” said Lightsource Managing Director Kareen Boutonnat. “This local knowledge is vital in ensuring our solar farms are constructed to a high standard a...
