China Solar Energy’s executives arrested for ‘fraudulent acts’ 21 Oct 2013 Small China-based solar cell manufacturer China Solar Energy Holdings has had three executives detained by Chinese authorities in connection with ‘fraudulent acts.’ In a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the company said that chairman Yeung Ngo, his son – executive director Yang Yuchun – and non-executive director Hao Guojun were arrested on 26 August. China Solar Energy is the latest in a number of companies that have been swept up in a nationwide anticorruption drive. The company’s executives were detained by Chinese authorities in August in connection with ‘fraudulent acts’ related to the assets of two subsidiaries, the Wall Street Journal reported.
