Gamesa designs wind course for Mexican university - Renewable Energy Focus

They have designed a wind turbine operation and maintenance course that will last four months and include theoretical and practical learning. It will be given jointly by the University of Istmo ’s professors and Gamesa specialists. The course, which will be free of charge for participants, is targeted at local personnel in order to generate greater knowledge of wind power by means of specialist training, thereby increasing access to the jobs that the wind power industry is expected to create in the region. The practical side of the programme will make use of various wind turbine parts (nacelle, generator, cells, control cabinets, gearbox) provided by Gamesa and transferred to the University’s La Ventosa campus.
