"It’s a step in the right direction. The government is showing its willingness to pursue the development of Quebec’s wind energy sector,” said Jean-François Nolet, Vice-President, Policy and Government Affairs at the Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA). “What should be kept in mind, however, is that the 800 MW have to be commissioned by the end of 2017, to avoid any impact on the jobs in the supply chain, while the draft regulation takes us to a date that falls one year later.” "We are open to discussing terms and conditions, and putting forward solutions as needed," continued Nolet, who g...
