#Solar coming to military bases and rooftops in Hawaii! @GetSolar

Hawaii Set To Install Solar On Military Bases, Rooftops Thursday, July 25th 2013 10:30 AM By GetSolar Staff. A major third-party solar leasing company recently announced plans to expand its solar generation capacity through various installations on Hawaii military bases. An estimated 12.8 megawatts of new solar energy capacity is expected as a result of the SolarStrong initiative projects in Hawaii. The new solar installations will provide electricity to power 7,500 military homes at a number of sites on the island of Oahu including Schofield Barracks, Aliamanu Military Reservation, Tripler Army Medical Center, Helemano Military Reservation, Wheeler Army Airfield and Fort Shafter.
