Government launches £23m backing for hydrogen infrastructure -

20.3.2017 Government launches £23m backing for hydrogen infrastructure A bew fund will provide matched funding for projects Hydrogen vehicle and infrastructure development has been given a boost after the UK Government announced a £23 million fund for fuel providers and vehicle manufacturers. Both sections of the industry will be able to bid for funding to help build refuelling infrastructure, including new fuel stations. The aim is to give a boost to the uptake of hydrogen powered vehicles by improving the supporting infrastructure around them. A competition will be launched in the summer which will invite proposals from public organisations, businesses, and hydrogen operators. The government will provide matched funding for any successful bids.
