Electric cars are slow and clunky, right? Well get ready to have that perception changed thanks to the Furtive eGT sports car (pictured) from Exagon Motors. The vehicle was recently put through its paces at the Nurburgring and achieved a top speed of 149mph. Introduced earlier this year at the Paris Motor Show, the Furtive eGT was seen as an opportunity to demonstrate the performance and efficiency of its motor technology. It includes a 52kg motor, which is one of the lightest and most compact units on the market. At its heart are liquid cooled motors that are centrally mounted and linked with a without cut torque (WCT) three-speed gearbox. During each gear change, one of the motors will transmit power to the wheels and it avoids any break in torque to ensure it maintains its power in all circumstances.
