Six of 13 small cars recently evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety earn the Top Safety Pick award, and none earns a poor rating in any of 4 tests. The 2012 Ford Focus , the 2012 Honda Civic , the 2011 Hyunda Elantra , the 2011 Lexus CT200h , the 2011 Nissan Juke and the 2011 Toyota Prius were all granted Institute’s Top Safety Pick award. The Civic, CT 200h, Elantra, Focus, and Prius have at least one model with that is EPA rated at 40 mpg, which is good news for consumers who put a high value on safety, as well as fuel economy. Other models tested in this latest batch include the Dodge Caliber, Honda CR-Z and Insight hybrid, Nissan Sentra and Versa, Scion xD, and Suzuki SX4. Most of the models scored Good and Acceptable in the four tests, but the Suzuki had Marginal rating for both rollover and rear-crash protection....
