#GLAAD likes the "I'm electric" Chevy #Volt ad

Tuesday was a good day for the Chevrolet Volt . First, parent company General Motors reported the highest-ever monthly sales for the extended-range plug-in. Then, the model won an award from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for one of its print ads, according to The Detroit Bureau. GLAAD, which held its awards ceremony Tuesday night in New York City, feted Chevy for its ad that showed a Volt sitting between two conventional GM vehicles with the tagline: "Mom, Dad. I'm electric." Included in the ad is the line, "Whatever revs your engine, we support you 100%." Since appearing in a local Michigan newspaper during the Motor City Pride event – at a reported cost of just $750 – the Volt ad has garnered millions of views and plenty of attention from all over.
