German government announces $1.1 billion EV subsidies

It seems that the German government has big plans for the electric vehicle market with the announcement of $1.1 billion of subsidies for the industry. Germany has been well known as a major car manufacturer and the government seems determined to ensure the German EV market is up there with the best in the longer term.
