Core EV companies show off tech at SMMT event: Three UK companies met at SMMT HQ in London today to demonstrate

Three UK companies met at SMMT HQ in London today to demonstrate how their electric vehicle drivetrain technologies are playing a key role in advances in electric vehicle technology. Battery provider Axeon, motor controller supplier Sevcon and electric motor company YASA Motors headed to Westminster to show figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders how their technologies are vital to the electric vehicle industry. The event included an address from Peter Richings, Jaguar Land Rover’s director of hybrids and electrification, on a vehicle manufacturer’s perspective, while former Science Minister Lord Drayson spoke about the importance of a strong UK low carbon automotive sector. A number of vehicles that incorporate technologies from one or more of the British companies were on display at the event including the Drayson Racing electric B12/69EV Le Mans car,...
