Congress isn’t good at outside the box thinking. It is good at doing whatever big oil says. Your ‘representative’ could care less if you go bankrupt, spend more on food, and have to buy water and spend less on everything else incl. all consumer goods made in China which is also now 'patriotic' btw. this will have a domino effect on everything else. Americans keep reelecting a do-nothing congress, followed by acting surprised or shocked when sh!t gets worse followed by denial and then rationalization and blaming somebody else. When congress wants to do nothing, for example, with respect to climate change, always always compare yourself as a nation to the laggards and even communists and never ever to the actual leaders like Germany whom we SHOULD be emulating...because to look to leaders is 'socialist'.
